We would like to thank everyone who made us one of the most popular gay friendly hotels in Costa Rica. Although, my wife and I are straight, we ran a pretty gay hotel. I would have to say that about half our guests were gay. We made a lot of friends in the gay community, and had a lot of gay guests who became friends, and we cherish the continued friendships. This is a popular page receiving many visitors from around the world. So as a service to people looking for Gay Hotels in Costa Rica and Manuel Antonio. I will keep this page up. Here are some gay hotels I can recommend in Manuel Antonio.
Manuel Antonio Gay Hotels
Villa Rocca - A few years ago this was a steal of a deal for a Gay Hotel in Costa Rica. They became very popular, a little arrogant, and raised their rates. However, I would still highly recommend this hotel. The views are fantastic, it is located accross the street from TuTu Bar, and the service is excellent.
Big Ruby's - Accross the street from Villa Rocca and close to TuTu Bar. This is where you went to get drunk and naked by the pool. Although the crowd has gotten a little older, and the pool scene has begun to sag, if you get my drift. The prices were very high, but they have been lowered, and if you are looking for privacy they've got it.
San Jose Gay Hotels
Colors - This is the only Gay Hotel I have a report on, my wife and I used to stay at a gay-owned b&b in San Jose that closed, but our friend has been there many times and loves it. It has a pool, is located in Rohrmosser away from down towm, and has long-term stays available.
I have noticed that many of our website visitors are searching for gay real estate in Costa Rica. Gay retirement communities, gay this gay that, associated with buying property or living in Costa Rica. In an effort to save Costa Rica's environment, I have started a Costa Rica real estate company, although not gay - you may want to check it out.
The information on the Costa Rica real estate blog is usefull to anyone. You should be aware that their are homophobic real estate agencies, real estate agents, and agents pretending to be gay friendly in order to get your buck. However, you'll also find that Costa Ricans tend to have a more relaxed attitude towards gays, than Americans, and you won't have to deal with the same up tightness as in the U.S.

gay beach in Manuel Antonio is a tropical paradise. Seperated by a short climb
over a rock out cropping, Manuel Antonio Gay Beach (also known as Playitas -
small beach in Spanish) is a secluded tropical paradise, on the opposite end
of Manuel Antonio National Park.
The photo of the baby turtle and Andrei, our guest and friend, was taken November 28, 2006 at the Gay beach. He and his friends witnessed the hatching of a turtle nest and helped the little turtles into the water.
You should check the tide chart the day before to plan your day on the Gay Beach. High Tide covers the rock out-cropping (seen behind Andrei's head in the photo) and makes access to the beach nearly impossible.
